The Journey Inward

In the shadows of sorrow, I stood still,
Disconnected from the self I once knew.
A chasm opened, deep and wide,
Between whom I was and who I had to find.
In the silence of the night, I wandered,
Through the corridors of my own heart.
Each step heavy, each breathe a sigh,
In search of the root that made me cry.
Beneath the weight of unspoken fears,
I found the core of all my tears.
A place where the darkness softly dwells,
Guarding secrets that no one tells.
I delved into that void so deep,
Where shadows and the soul do meet.
Confronting ghosts of faded dreams,
And unraveling life's tangled seams.
In that abyss, I found the truth,
The pain was a bridge to something new.
A path of light through the darkest night,
Where the soul emerges, bathed in light.
Evolving through the pain I bore,
I found the self I’d lost before.
No longer fractured, no longer torn,
But whole and wise, born and reborn.
Now I walk with strength anew,
The journey within has seen me through.
From disconnection, I’ve found my way,
To deeper truths where shadows play.
In every tear, in every fall,
I’ve found the courage to stand tall.
And now I soar, no longer bound,
By the echoes of that hollow sound.
For in the depths, I found the key,
To the self I was meant to be.
A journey of sorrow, a journey of grace,
Led me back to my true face.
